It’s Never Too Late to Start Exercising!

Anytime Is Good To Start Exercising!

It’s never too late to start an exercise program. Fall is a great time of year as it is not too hot, or too cold, to exercise outdoors. You can integrate exercise as part of your lifestyle at any age. Of course, you should always seek the advice of a physician before starting an exercise program if it is new for you.

Today men and women alike want to look good! Going to the gym everyday becomes increasingly harder with the hectic pace which has become part of American society. Trying to balance work, family and an exercise program can be challenging. But if you consider all the options available to you there are many ways for you to accomplish staying fit. You don’t even have to compromise a good work out for enjoying your time so get out there, play hard, and enjoy yourselves. Don’t get lazy and forget those last-minute crunches! They do make a difference.

Think About Outdoor Activities

Running/ walking

As the sun begins to set a walk or run will be a breeze. You can plan your routes to coordinate hills and flat lands and will get you toned in no time. During the warmer months, if you take your activities to the beach, the sand will add extra resistance and give you even more of a workout.

Riding Bikes

Get a spin workout, but go by your own rules, as you will be your own instructor. The scenery will have you pushing forward as well as the natural hills and increase in resistance levels to have you looking and feeling great.

Swimming

Swimming is one of those rare activities that will work your entire body. Have you ever seen an overweight swimmer? With an hour of swimming every day, you will see toning in places that you didn’t even know could get toned. As the outdoors is limited to the summer months in most areas of the country, if you enroll in a health club choose one that offers a pool. Your local YMCA is an option as they offer a pool as well as other cardio and weight training facilities.

Water Activities

Around New Jersey, there are various state parks that offer water activities for a reasonable price of $5.00/hour. Try kayaking, canoeing, rowing, and water cycling to try something new and feel great.

Outdoor Sports

Try sports like tennis and volleyball to get you moving. Virtually, you can take any of your favorite sports outdoors to spend time with your friends and family and enjoy some fresh air.

There are many places to Hike

Hiking

Check out some of New Jersey’s hiking trails to enjoy a day of adventure where you will be challenged and awed by nature. This is a great way to do something different when you’re bored of your everyday routine. P.S. bring your dogs with you, and they’ll get some exercise and bonding time, too!

Outdoor yoga/ Pilates

Take your favorite classes outdoors! If you’re a pro, just put your mat in the sun and do your thing! If you’ve never tried either of these activities before, grab a book with different moves and give them a try!

Remember to always have fun, work hard, and most importantly, stay hydrated!
