Jets have no where to go but up!

Glad Gase is gone.

You want to talk about a demotion. How low can you go? All you have to do is ask Adam Gase. Adam Gase, is now coaching for Lincoln HS, located in Ypsilanti, MI which is Gase’s hometown. I guess his terrific  record as a Jet head coach landed him the job. In his last season as head coach for the Jets they ranked 32 out of 32 in offense. That was supposed to be his strong suit. I don’t think there is any need to say anymore about that.

You might be wondering why the Jets went with another head coach with a defensive background. That option has not brought them much success of recent times. The reason is he is bringing Matt LeFleur with him. What we need to talk about is new Mike LaFleur, the offensive coordinator for the Jets. I guess even ranking 31 would be an improvement. Only kidding. Mike LeFleur served under Kyle Shanahan at the Atlanta Falcons and the San Francisco 49’ers. Hopefully his tutelage under Shanahan will let him hit the road running. It might be a gamble as Mike LeFleur and Zach Wilson have something in common. Neither has called an offensive play in the NFL.

No matter how you evaluate it I think the new combination will be better than where we were. The problem is will the Jets fans be realistic? You can’t expect the Jets to go from 32 on offense  to 1. In my opinion the jets could wind up ranking somewhere in the 20’s. I would like to see them rank at least at 20. Anything better than that is icing on the cake.

Will Mike LeFleur be a secret weapon for the Jets? The question is will Mike LeFleur’s West Coast Style of offense enable Zach Wilson to be successful?
