Jets Three Quarterbacks Haven’t Taken A Snap in The NFL.
What are the odds that the Jets will start the season with Zach Wilson, James Morgan and Mike White, none of whom have taken a snap in the NFL. The Jets should have competed for Joe Flaco and kept him on the roster. He would not have been the future of the Jets but he certainly could have been a great mentor for Zach Wilson. He has thrown for 40,931 yards and 224 touchdowns up to now in his career. We don’t know how long it will take Zach Wilson to catch up to the speed of the NFL game. There are a lot of things a rookie quarterback has to learn and sometimes it doesn’t happen by opening day.
Is Douglas making decisions he will regret?
Is Douglas waiting for Carolina to cut Terry Bridgewater, and make his move then. He would be a good backup and could help Zach Wilson adjust to the NFL. There was a lot of talk about Nick Foles. Unfortunately he doesn’t qualify. Robert Saleh is looking for a veteran quarterback who knows the Kyle Shanahan offense who is the new offensive coordinator. I would think that a winning Super Bowl quarterback would be able to learn the system!
Does anybody remember the year that Vinny Testaverde ruptured his achilles’ tendon? It was September 12, 1999. The Jets were a favorite to get to the Super Bowl that year. Bill Parcells that one of the worst decisions he has ever made was not having a genuine back up Quarterback on the team. One can only fantasize on what could have been.
