Jets Look Good in Preseason Opener.

Preseason is just that preseason. There is a big difference in intensity once the regular season starts. That being said the Jets did look good with Justin Fields at the helm. The broadcaster gave out an interesting stat on him. He gained mote yards rushing than any other draft pick in his first 4 years. So if he can stay injury free the Jets just might look like they are a football team.

I have my reservations about Aron Glen. In my mind he is a rookie coach. Yes he played and all that but he has never been a head coach before. I wish they would have gone after someone with head coaching experience and proved they could coach at a high level. I am hoping that he can rise to the occasion and have success in his first season as a head coach.

Let’s Not Talk Super Bowl Just Yet!

I know that their will be a number of Jet fans talking Super Bowl after Last weeks game. I do think that as fans we need to be realistic. If the Jets have a winning season, although not the ultimate goal, I would consider that a success. Keep in mind they are currently number 1 in one thing. They have the longest drought for any franchise in any sport. Seventeen years without being in the Playoffs.

Sauce Gardner looks like he is ready to play this season. In my opinion he had a disappointing season last year. In an interview I saw he said he is going to play tight coverage against receivers. You can expect to see some flags coming his way if he does.

I  liked the play of 47 Andrew Beck and the number 2 QB Brady Cook. Once again we can’t get too excited with a preseason game, but I am more optimistic than I was before the game.

Is Joe Tippmann more valuable to the Jets at center or guard? The answer is less clear cut than you think.

So as Jet fans let’s all wish the Jets and Aron Glen the best in the up coming season.
